Mental Health became prelavent in the 70’s. In the 90’s it realized children benifited from therhapy as well as adults. Mental Health Awarness week started jn 2000. Today one in five (20%) of americans suffer with some sort of diagnosible mental illness.* There is approximately one death every 12 minutes due to mental health. Combined making a total of 123 suicides per day.* And we discuss our feelings unlike our parents generation.
Most parents are good people working hard at being their best. Growing up, becoming adults, making that money so life can go round. Many with little to no mental health skills making it impossible for them to be good examples for us. Focusing on what they wish they had instead of what they did. Sound Famiiar? Do you find yourself repeating the cycle? Most of us do.
When we don’t allow our dreams to become realities dissapointment in self takes root and pushes itself into every aspect of our being. Eventually causing resentment to others who did create theirs. Not comprehending your only obstacle is you. When you get down negativity creeps in and takes complete control. Making you feel like you have nothing left in you. YOU DON’T! The sullen mood depletes ALL energy sources.
Now stay with me a minute. What if it could be different? If you set some goals and keep them. Believe in yourself and start letting that confidence grow. Your whole world can change. When we search for the positive, in all things, we switch the energy. Sending out and seeking the positive makes it easier to keep your soul satisfied. It also holds “you” accountable for your life. Try it for a week. I guarantee it will be different.
