GROW YOUR BRAIN

MARCH 15th, 2023

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in picking our next book to review and entered the book giveaway drawing. Congratulations to Bettie Davis Wall (Get Untamed – Glennon Doyle) and Nancy Saylor (Burn After Writting – Sharon Jones)for winning the book drawing. I will be getting these in the mail to you soon ladies. I know you will be as intrigued as i was from the turn of the first page to the last. For the winner from the book pick i will be reviewing you overwhelmingly picked “Let That Sht Go” (Author Monica Sweeney). I can’t wait to start so i can share with all of you. Books broaden your horizons. They provide knowledge and insight to things you might not otherwise be exposed to. Opening you up to new thoughts. Taking you places and introducing you to diverse groups of people. Whether a self help book that peaks your curiousity, a educational book that inspires you, or just a regular read where you get to put yourself in the characters position, bringing their emotions to your surface. All of which make you think. Thinking is what causes growth. This is what books are supposed to do. Why they are written. To make you evaluate and regroup. Like the old saying goes “You learn something new everyday”, or at least you should be. The best books in my opinion are the ones you can’t put down and when you do all you can think about is what’s going to happen next. I enjoy learning so the majority of my purchases are self – help to educate me and help me grow. Every once in a while i enjoy curling up with a good non-fiction. It doesn’t matter what your genre is. As long as you are reading your expanding your brain. Best of all when you are growing it’s impossible to become stagnant. Happiness is a mindset you choose to do on a daily basis. At times a minute by minute situation. Point being, positivity and encouragment of self, that allows pride when goals are reached are what give you peace. Whatever you are searching for there is a book that will help you begin a path plan to reach it. First weeks excercise (Let That ShT Go – A Journal For Leaving Your Bullsh*t Behind And Creating A Happy Life – Monica Sweeney) Right out the gate, on the very first page. Acknowledge the things that make you feel like shit. Sometimes this can be as eye opening and rewarding in the healing process as finding your needs. You have to face fears on this journey of self growth to your happiness. Might as well get it over with straight from the start.
I apologize for the no-post week. My husband had a health scare. Turns out he has SVT (supraventricular tachycardia). Easily fixable. But to recieve the diagnosis he earned himself a little hospital vaca. All is well. He has a clean bill of health other than that and scheaduling surgery to fix it. We are thankful for our blessings and cozy back at home with mama. Remember if there is a book you would like reviewed or want a book prescription email me @ BrokenWingSociety@mail.com
